The Prophet Of Hate — Outlaw Sports
Malleus Maleficarum, translated as the Hammer of Witches, was a treatise written by Heinrich Kramer in the late 15th century. The work is best described as a “how-to” guide for finding and exterminating witches for religious zealots. The manuscript, which started in Europe, found its way to America in the 1600s and was used to manufacture evidence against accused witches in Salem. One of the most important parts of a witch trial was obtaining a confession, and the Malleus Maleficarum laid the framework for such tactics:
And when the implements of torture have been prepared, the judge, both in person and through other good men zealous in the faith, tries to persuade the prisoner to confess the truth freely; but, if he will not confess, he bid attendants make the prisoner fast to the strappado or some other implement of torture. The attendants obey forthwith, yet with feigned agitation. Then, at the prayer of some of those present, the prisoner is loosed again and is taken aside and once more persuaded to confess, being led to believe that he will in that case not be put to death
Quite obviously, Kramer understood that a confession obtained under torture may not be genuine, he further suggested a catch-22 comprised of circular logic as the solution to the problem:
And note that, if he confesses under the torture, he must afterward be conducted to another place, that he may confirm it and certify that it was not due alone to the force of the torture
But, if the prisoner will not confess the truth satisfactorily, other sorts of tortures must be placed before him, with the statement that unless he will confess the truth, he must endure these also. But, if not even thus he can be brought into terror and to the truth, then the next day or the next but one is to be set for a continuation of the tortures — not a repetition, for it must not be repeated unless new evidences produced. The judge must then address to the prisoners the following sentence: We, the judge, etc., do assign to you, such and such a day for the continuation of the tortures, that from your own mouth the truth may be heard, and that the whole may be recorded by the notary.
In other words, if you confessed during torture, you had to admit afterwards that your confession was not due torture-or you would be tortured again until you admitted that the confession was true and not because of torture.
Thankfully, this dark chapter in western civilization ended rather quickly with the Enlightenment. Sadly, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.
Yesterday, current Atlantic writer and former ESPN employee, Jemele Hill, tweeted out what might be the most singular stupid comparison in recent memory:

For Jemele Hill, America was close or equivalent to Nazi Germany. It would take a whole other post to explain the significant differences between the pre-civil rights era U.S. and Nazi Germany, so I’m not going to do that here. What I would like to discuss, is how an obviously educated woman can be so willfully ignorant.
First, look at another of Hill’s recent tweets in order to get a more well rounded idea of her politics.
Glad Montrezl Harrell apologized for what he said to Luka Doncic, but I can’t with the false equivalence. The term “white boy” does not carry the same baggage as referring to a black man as a “boy.”

In case you’ve entirely tuned out the NBA, like most others, what Hill is referring to is an altercation that happened during Game three of the NBA’s bubble tournament.
You see for Hill, racism is a game of gradations. Sure it’s bad to use a racial slur against a white person, but the guy using it-is from a more oppressed group. Therefore, it’s really not that bad. Nevermind, that Luka Doncic never used the word “boy” in the first place. Hill would have you believe that racism is permissible when the person acting racist possesses the correct skin pigmentation. She seems wholly ignorant to the inherent contradiction of her argument-but it only seems that way. The reason Hill is able to twist herself into a mental pretzel is because of her faith in wokeness. Although wokeness often disguises itself as science preached from the halls of academia- it is nothing more than a repackaged and repurposed religion used to seize power and control the masses.
Elements such as salvation, theology, anthropology, ethics, cultic practices, and religious myths are all common in different religions. In wokeness, if you are white and confess your privilege or complicity in systemic racism, you’ll be spared the wrath of the culture mob (forgiven and saved). Examples of the mythology surrounding wokeness can be found in the revisionist history of writings such as The 1619 project and Howard Zinn’s A Peoples History of the United States.
Theology, however, may seem tricky to spot because most woke zealots find God to be offensive and oppressive; so for them, it is the worship Government and political idols that comprise their pantheon of gods. That’s why they are so concerned with removing Donald Trump from office. His volatile nature runs counter to the benevolent politician that they believed Barrack Obama to be. An objective accounting of Obama is irrelevant. He was a government official skilled in platitudes and promised his followers a utopia created by the omnipotent hand of government. Moreover, consider Joe Biden’s recent remarks at the DNC:
Joe Biden is not selling himself as a mere politician, but as the savior of mankind. Once imbued with the power of the presidency, he will be able to ward off any all and threats not just from things we can see-but the things we cannot see as well. If elected on November 3rd, 2020, Joe Biden will ascend and all will be made well through his newfound divine and supernatural powers.
But no religion would be complete without a teacher to utter divine revelations and moral insight. A prophet. In order to be a prophet in this new religion, you must first possess the necessary credential of academia. That is to say, your authority on the subject must be supported by higher education so that any detractors can be simply be asked about their education relative to that of the prophets. Anyone with equal education is simply dismissed as a racist.
The religion of wokeness most cited prophet is Ibrim X Kendi. Kendi is a scholar and the author of four books, two of which are children’s books on racism, and is often cited as the most influential thought leader on the subject of modern racism. He was the recipient of the National Book Award in 2016. His latest book, How To Be An Antiracist, spent a considerable amount of time on the New York Times bestseller list and is experiencing a resurgence in sales due to the death of George Floyd.
How to be anti-racist is the Malleus Maleficarum of wokeness. Within its pages, Kendi lays bear his woke articles of faith.
THE OPPOSITE OF ‘RACIST’ ISN’T ‘NOT RACIST.’ IT IS ‘ANTIRACIST.
If one is not racist, by definition-they cannot be racist. But Kendi’s mysticism trumps logic.
One either believes problems are rooted in groups of people, as a racist or locates the roots of problems in power and policies, as an antiracist. One either allows racial inequities to persevere, as a racist, or confronts racial inequities, as an antiracist.
According to Kendi, believing that one’s skin color determines their value is not what defines racism. Rather, it’s any policy that results in the inequity of a historically oppressed group. Because blacks are not represented equally in every facet of American life and have been historically oppressed, every single policy in America today is in fact-racist. Capitalism? Racist. Capital-gains tax? Racist.
Capitalism is essentially racist,” Kendi proclaims, and “racism is essentially capitalist
Kendi’s solution to racism is as contradictory as it is simple:
The defining question is whether the discrimination is creating equity or inequity. If discrimination is creating equity, then it is an antiracist. If discrimination is creating inequity, then it is racist. . . . The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.
Discrimination against Kendi and blacks is bad, but when it’s against a racial group that Kendi doesn’t like, namely-everyone who isn’t black-it’s a good thing. But Kendi’s divine revelation doesn’t stop here because he wants to seize the highest peaks of government in order to cram down his anti-racist agenda.
For the record, Ibrim Kendi wants you to know that he is neither racist nor a hypocrite.
Ibrim Kendi has been chosen to deliver to the gospel. So if he uses the product of the capitalist racist system he decries-it’s because he’s possess divine knowledge known only to him and thus, is above the wages of sin.
In reality, the facts are these: This is nothing more than the same racist garbage that could be found at a Klan rally. The only difference is the people who are saying it this time, are just a different color. It was wrong when George Wallace said it, and it’s wrong when Jemele Hill or Ibrim Kendi say it too. Racism is still racism no matter the color of your skin, what large media outlet you work for, or how many PhDs you have. If they are looking for allies to join their cause, may I suggest they start here because it takes one to know one.
