Shifting The Goal Post — Outlaw Sports

The Culture War is real. In one corner stands those who generally believe that despite not being perfect, and understanding there is always room for improvement; America was, is, and will always be-the best country the world has ever known. If anyone is born privileged, it is those who are lucky enough to call America home. In the other corner, is an increasingly vocal contingent who believe that America is a dark and evil place. Born with the “original sin” of slavery, America evolved into a country whose systems and intuitions stand ready to grind their boot heels into throats of the dispossessed. Therefore dismantling the system is paramount. And if anyone is keeping score right now-this side is winning.

As I’ve written before, despite claims to the contrary, this is not, nor has it ever been, about equality. At least not about equality of opportunity. Instead, it’s about the power to dictate equality of outcome. Marxist theory, for all its wordiness, can be boiled down to a single concept-power. Those who have it and those who want it. It disguises its true intentions behind feigned outrage over perceived disparity and inequity. It promises that once power is transferred, equality of outcome will follow and all will be perfect. It assures individuals that their failures are not their own fault because life is supposed to be fair. The only thing holding them back is not chance or personal choice, but rather, the system. A system designed by those currently in power, to keep them in power. Everyone else is just a means to that end. That’s how they arrive at the conclusion that the system must not just be tweaked or improved, but torn from its roots and replaced with a new one. A utopian system, that Marx stated would be,

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs

This is not bad a pitch. After all, who among us has not thought of how much better life would be if things were fairer? Ironically, it is this last word, fair, that becomes Marxism’s greatest weapon in its pursuit of power. Who exactly decides what’s fair? How do they know what’s better for everyone else? Doesn’t that make them inherently unequal to the rest of us? As it turns out, the very thing that makes Marxism so attractive is the very thing that makes it so dangerous. When power is seized, those who wield it become the thing they claim to hate-oppressors.

All this should be self evident at this point. There’s hundreds of years and millions of deaths at the hands of this ideology. However, like a cockroach, the idea won’t die. “This time it will work”, they tell us. “Things will be different. They just didn’t have the right people in charge last time. You can trust us because we are better. We are the messiahs foretold by Karl Marx. The ones who truly get it.” And people continue to buy the lies.

Since the Constitution is far too strong for an outright revolution, and the words contained therein are something generally everyone agrees upon. The desired change cannot take place starting from the top. Instead, the war must be waged on America’s culture. In order to remake the culture, seizing control of the culture’s top institutions must come first. This means holding a monopoly of ideas inside the media, movies, sports, and business. From there, they can affect the change necessary to eventually change the laws. It’s a bottom up strategy that’s hard see until it’s too late.

This strategy for power is enacted by utilizing the concept of fairness because fairness for humans-is a primal drive. Everyone wants to want be treated fairly. If you can convince one group that they are being treated unfairly by another, you can build a coalition. Everyone who joins the coalition, regardless of whether or not they are part of the power group, is safe for now. Everyone who refuses to join, must be crushed. The only problem this strategy has is the inconsistencies of its argument. To counter that, they simply shift the goal post to maintain their advantage.

One way this is accomplished is by using loaded terms. Take “Black Lives Matter” for example,

When they say, “Black Lives Matter!” Most of the unconverted respond with, “Of course they do because every life matters equally, regardless of skin color.” Then they’ll say, “Then you believe in the destruction of Israel? Which elicits the logical response of, “No, not really.” That’s when they say, “Aha! You don’t really believe Black Lives Matter. You’re a racist!”

This is where the Minneapolis Police Department learned their police brutality tactics from. israeli occupation terrorist soldiers (on the left) murder Palestinians on a daily basis. We must stop training our American police officers to be gestapo units. #GeorgeFloyd #Palestine🇵🇸 pic.twitter.com/wczSt5kDYe

They’ve loaded the term “Black Lives Matter” with so much unrelated ideology, that its literal meaning has disappeared entirely. When this is pointed out, they simply move the goalpost, and thus, maintain the advantage. Make no mistake, this is calculated. This movement has very little to do with actually saving black lives, and everything to do seizing power.

Growing increasingly indignant, Lemon tells Crews that BLM should NOT care about black-on-black crime since it’s not in their mission, and tells his guest to start that organization himself. He also compared it to saying “cancer matters” and people asking ‘what about HIV?’ pic.twitter.com/g6xsaqKOKn

Further evidence of this can be seen in the way people from the opposing groups are treated for the same transgressions. Earlier this week, Eagles wide receiver, Desean Jackson, posted this to social media:

Apparently, if you hate the Jews and you’re white-you’re a Nazi. If you’re black, it’s perfectly fine because the Jews are actually bad. Naturally, a lot of people saw these comments and immediately condemned them. After all, the BLM movement at its core, is supposedly about destroying hate. Except…

That comment is from former NBA player, Stephen Jackson, and nothing says “love for all who have love for all” like bashing the Jews. To make things worse, Stephen Jackson then doubled down in spectacular hold my beer fashion:

Someone should tell Jackson that when you find yourself in hole-stop digging, but Jackson seems to be hell bent on making the hole deeper:

Well, I do have love for all and I didn’t support the post as far as Hitler. I don’t support Hitler. I don’t know nothing about Hitler and I could give a f-k about Hitler. All I know is that he was a cruel guy. I don’t stand for that and I don’t support it. My whole reason for supporting D-Jax was before I got on Instagram he called me on the phone and told me that they were threatening to fire him but they didn’t do that to [former Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper]. And I’m like you right you shouldn’t have to apologize if they didn’t make him apologize. And that was my whole thing. I don’t hate Jews. I don’t support Hitler. But they are wrong for how they’re handling D-Jax because Cooper said the N-word publicly at a concert. They slapped him on the wrist and he got a contract extension. Never talked about being fired. But they want to fire D-Jax. And see a lot of people tried to deflect that I called the owner out on how he handled the black man and the white man and tried to deflect to make it seem like I hated Jews and I was supporting Hitler. Today, I’m saying to you Brian, f-k Hitler. I love Jews. And I love everybody. And I stand on love for all who have love for all.”

Whataboutisms are arguments that little children use to justify their bad choices. “What about Riley Cooper? He said something bad five years ago, so it’s okay if Desean Jackson says something bad today.” Everyone is simply supposed to believe Desean and Stephen Jackson don’t hate the Jews. In fact, they love Jews. They just think they’re blackmailing and extorting Americans at the expense of black people and own all the banks. Don’t worry if that idea strikes you as familiar:

The Jews have shown real genius in profiting by politics. This capitalistic people, which was brought into existence by the unscrupulous exploitation of men, has understood how to get the leadership of the Fourth Estate into its own hands; and by acting both on the Right and on the Left it has its apostles in both camps. On the Right the Jew does his best to encourage all the evils there are to such an extent that the man of the people, poor devil, will be exasperated as much as possible- greed of money, unscrupulousness, hard- heartedness, abominable snobbishness. More and more Jews have wormed their way into our upper-class families; and the consequence has been that the ruling class has been alienated from its own people.

Adolf Hitler: As quoted in A History of National Socialism, Konrad Heiden, Methuen & Company, LTD, London: UK, 1934, p. 58. Speech in April, 1

To be fair, this story has been in the headlines, but you may have noticed it was not covered in the way that similar stories with supposed black victims are.

Just a few weeks ago, when Bubba Wallace claimed he found noose in his garage at Talladega, ESPN, as well as almost every other news outlet, ran wall to wall demagoguery of the incident. They breathlessly claimed that an evil racist was on the loose, with a noose, and no black man anywhere in America was safe. The FBI flew eleven agents in and the hunt for the noose bandit was afoot. Unfortunately, for Bubba Wallace, his race team, Nascar, and the Media-the FBI determined that noose was actually a garage door pull rope and Bubba Wallace is a retard.

A few weeks before that, Drew Brees was forced to partake in a struggle session for the crime of professing his respect for the American flag. His remarks were called hateful by teammates and media members alike. Shannon Sharpe claimed he’d never respect him and he should retire:

Sharpe brought up the point that nobody had talked about the flag or the military during the protests that followed George Floyd’s death. Brees brought up that argument, which is a relic from the misguided anger over Colin Kaepernick’s demonstration years ago, by himself. Then Sharpe, a Hall of Fame tight end for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens and for decades a prominent voice of the NFL, said he thinks Brees should “probably go ahead and retire now” because his teammates will never respect him again. “He issued an apology, but it’s meaningless,” Sharpe said on “Undisputed.” “The guys know he spoke his heart the very first time around. I don’t know what Drew is going to do, but he should probably go ahead and retire now. It will never be the same. Take it from a guy that has been a leader in the locker room for a number of years … they will never look at him the same, because he spoke his heart.”

Unsurprisingly, Shannon Sharpe has an entirely different view on Stephen Jackson’s anti-semitic tropes.

When Skip Bayless, on one of the most watched sports talk-shows in the country, brought up the fact that Louis Farrakhan is an anti-Semite, his co-host — former NFL tight end, Shannon Sharpe — became defensive. Sharpe said that when he has spoken with Farrakhan, the Minister made it “clear” that he doesn’t hate Jews.

To be absolutely crystal clear, Shannon Sharpe says Louis Farrakhan does not hate the Jews.

Do you know that many of us who go to Hollywood seeking a chance, we have to submit to anal sex and all kids of debauchery, and they give you a little part? The couch where you have to sit, it’s called the ‘casting couch.’ That’s Jewish power.” — Speech at Mosque Maryam, Chicago, Illinois, 5/27/18

You and I are going to have to learn to distinguish between the righteous Jew and the Satanic Jews who have infected the whole world with poison and deceit.” — Speech at Mosque Maryam, Chicago, Illinois, 5/27/18

The Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out: turning men into women, and women into men.” — Saviours’ Day speech, 2/25/18

Those who call themselves ‘Jews,” who are not really Jews, but are in fact Satan: You should learn to call them by their real name, ‘Satan;’ you are coming face-to-face with Satan, the Arch Deceiver, the enemy of God and the enemy of the Righteous.” — Saviours’ Day speech (part 2), 2/26/17

I’m not an anti-Semite. I’m anti-Termite.

The only possible way any of this makes sense is if you shift the goalpost. When Richard Spencer traffics in hateful Jewish rhetoric, he’s everything that embodies white supremacy and White America writ large. When Louis Farrakhan, Shanon Sharpe, Desean and Stephen Jackson say the same things, they’re coming from a place of love. But more importantly, they are part of historically oppressed group, so their hatred of other racial groups is perfectly acceptable. It’s exactly this sort of mental gymnastics that is dividing our country. Equality is unachievable without a common cause that cuts through our physical differences, but that’s not the point-is it.
